Technical Meaning: வெப்பநிலை (Veppanilai) - A setting that controls how creative, random, or predictable the AI's responses are.

The Core Idea

In LLMs, "Temperature" is a simple hyperparameter (a sliding scale usually from 0 to 1).

• A Low Temperature (0.1) makes the AI extremely predictable, robotic, and conservative—it will always pick the most likely next word.
• A High Temperature (0.9) makes the AI highly creative and random—it will take risks and pick less likely words, perfect for writing poetry or brainstorming.

The Origin Story

Developers needed a way to control the "vibe" of an AI. If you are building a legal chatbot or a coding assistant, you want facts; you need a low temperature so the AI doesn't get creative and invent laws (hallucinate).
